Design for a structure within an ecclesiastical ruin

2019

The Dale Ivens Partnership was formed in 2018 in order to develop a variation on the design shown above, which could be repeatedly demountable, and moved to a number of historic ecclesiastical ruins for the purposes of pilgrimages, gatherings of many kinds, music festivals and drama productions. As with the more permanent scheme, all of the weight of the structure is spread across the floor area, and in this case the s.s. gothic trusses carry an ETFE covering.    Both designs carry incoming and outgoing air for heating and ventilation inside the tubular trusses.  The structural details are now being further developed so that this modular design can be put into production.  This design was protected in 2018 via EU Community Registered Design No 005815818
